If the world is my oyster  — 经常作为“如果我的梦想得以实现的话”的意思使用。
该句来源于莎士比亚的The Merry Wives of Windsor (1600)Ⅱ､ⅱ､2中，恶棍Pistol对决意不肯借钱的Sir John Falstaff说、“Why then the world's mine oyster, / Which I with sword will
open.”（这个世界如同我的牡蛎一样，我可以用刀子把它撬开。）
人们应用这句话是常把原文的mine该成my.这句话也常常出现在Willy Loman的台词中。
